Bloomberg Terminal Introduces Stablecoin Data Dashboard
Bloomberg has launched a new stablecoin data dashboard on its Terminal, aimed at providing financial professionals with comprehensive on-chain data to monitor stablecoin supply, issuance, and trading activity. This dashboard, supported by the blockchain data platform Allium, focuses on stablecoins with a circulation exceeding 100 million dollars, which represent more than 98% of the total market.
Users of the Bloomberg Terminal can now compare various stablecoins based on metrics such as supply, minting, burning, transfer volume, and turnover rate. The dashboard also allows users to segment activity data by blockchain network and anchoring type, which includes both fiat and commodity-backed stablecoins. This feature is accessible through the RWAS functionality and is integrated with existing tools for fixed income, foreign exchange, and money markets.
Bloomberg Terminal is a widely utilized platform among financial professionals, including banks and asset management firms, for real-time market data, news, analysis, trading, and communication. Since 2014, Bloomberg has included Bitcoin quotes on the platform and currently provides pricing and reference data for 50 different cryptocurrencies. Recent data from DeFiLlama indicates that the total market capitalization of stablecoins has surpassed 30.6 billion dollars, with Tether's USDT making up approximately 60% of that figure.
