Centrifuge Partners with Chronicle Labs for Enhanced Asset Verification

Centrifuge, a protocol focused on tokenizing and managing real-world assets on the blockchain, has announced its partnership with Chronicle Labs, designating it as the primary oracle provider for asset verification. This collaboration aims to enhance transparency for tokenized assets by utilizing Chronicle’s Proof of Asset framework, which independently verifies portfolio composition, net asset value, and detailed holdings data directly on the blockchain.

Chronicle’s technology generates cryptographic attestations of asset data, including reserve composition and individual holdings, which are then published on a public dashboard. This system supports multiple blockchain platforms, such as Ethereum and Avalanche, allowing Centrifuge to deploy its tokenized products flexibly. Unlike traditional methods that rely on periodic audits or self-reported data, Chronicle offers continuous independent verification, ensuring that tokenized assets are backed by reliable data.

The integration is seen as a significant step towards scaling the tokenized asset market, with Chronicle’s CEO suggesting it could grow from billions to trillions of dollars. This partnership builds on Chronicle's previous collaborations, including a notable integration with Anemoy for real-time pricing and verification of its Liquid Treasury Fund, further establishing Chronicle as a key player in the institutional-grade tokenized product space.

Centrifuge, founded in 2017, has been at the forefront of integrating traditional asset management with blockchain technology. A recent application of the Proof of Asset framework is seen in NYLIM’s HYB fund, launched in July 2026, which is recognized as the first tokenized fund to adopt these advanced verification standards for high-yield corporate bonds. This development highlights the increasing importance of oracles in decentralized finance, particularly for verifying the existence and composition of underlying assets in tokenized products.
