Sui Removes Over 3,000 Phishing and Impersonation Threats with ChainPatrol
Sui has successfully eliminated 3,023 impersonation and phishing threats across various online platforms through its collaboration with ChainPatrol, a security firm specializing in identifying fake accounts and scam sites. This initiative is part of Sui's $10 million Ecosystem Security Expansion Initiative, aimed at enhancing security for over 30 projects operating on its network.
The partnership with ChainPatrol has proven effective, with the firm employing artificial intelligence and image recognition technology to detect fraudulent accounts that mimic legitimate projects. As of mid-November 2025, ChainPatrol had already blocked 842 unique threats related to Sui projects, and the latest figures indicate a significant increase in takedowns, highlighting the growing prevalence of scams in the cryptocurrency sector.
The monitoring efforts encompass a wide range of platforms, including social media, app stores, and digital wallets. This comprehensive approach not only protects users but also provides smaller teams within the Sui ecosystem with access to professional threat monitoring services, which they might not afford independently. While the initiative aims to enhance user confidence and adoption of Sui projects, its long-term impact remains to be fully assessed.
