ElevenLabs hires former OpenAI executive as Chief Revenue Officer

PANews reported on September 2, according to Bloomberg, that voice AI startup ElevenLabs has appointed former OpenAI vice president of enterprise sales Ashley Kramer as its first chief revenue officer to drive enterprise commercialization. The company said that this year, more than half of its revenue has come from enterprise customers, up from 40% last year, marking an "inflection point" in its business structure. In July, ElevenLabs said its annual recurring revenue had surpassed $600 million, with customers including Meta, Stripe, Deutsche Telekom, and Revolut. The company is also in discussions with investors about an employee share transfer deal that would value the company at around $22 billion. Amid high computing costs and competition from Chinese vendors such as Alibaba's Tongyi, which have open-sourced low-cost voice models, ElevenLabs hopes to solidify enterprise payment demand through solutions covering the full marketing, sales, and customer service workflow.
