Metaplanet Launches Subsidiary in Hong Kong to Enhance Bitcoin Asset Management

Metaplanet, a Japan-listed Bitcoin treasury company, has announced the establishment of a wholly-owned subsidiary named Metaplanet Asset Management Asia Limited in Hong Kong. This new entity will serve as the group's trading execution and asset management hub for the Asia region, with an initial investment of 1 million USD. The subsidiary is expected to be operational by September 2026.

Metaplanet Asset Management Asia Limited will work in conjunction with Metaplanet Asset Management Inc., which is based in Miami, USA. The Hong Kong subsidiary will focus on trading execution and risk management during Asian trading hours, monitoring position and market dynamics. Investment targets will include Bitcoin, Bitcoin-related stocks, and preferred securities issued by Bitcoin treasury companies.

This initiative is part of Metaplanet's broader strategy to develop the 'Project Nova' Bitcoin financial platform. The company anticipates that the establishment of the subsidiary will have a minor impact on its consolidated performance for the fiscal period ending December 2026.
