Network Sees $930 Million in Liquidations in 24 Hours
In a significant market event, the cryptocurrency network experienced liquidations totaling $930 million within a 24-hour period, impacting over 170,000 traders. Data from Coinglass reveals that the majority of these liquidations were from long positions, amounting to $853 million, while short positions accounted for approximately $76.67 million.
The wave of liquidations resulted in 174,915 individuals being affected, with the largest single liquidation recorded on the Binance exchange. This particular liquidation involved a BTCUSDT position valued at $12.0347 million. The high volume of liquidations highlights the volatility and risks associated with trading in the cryptocurrency market.
