Oppenheimer Hikes Microsoft Stock Price Target

He urged institutional clients to begin taking an entry position and mentioned that Microsoft stock is in a consolidation phase. The analyst wrote in a note to clients on Tuesday (September 22, 2026) that MSFT will soon experience a breakout in value.

Oppenheimer’s Timothy Horan increased his Microsoft stock price target to $570. The previous estimate and target for MSFT was $515. The analyst has increased the target by $55, indicating bullishness in the software giant. Microsoft stock opened Wednesday’s trading session at $498, and this marks a profit of $72 per share if traders take an entry position in the equity today. It also marks an uptick and a return on investment (ROI) of approximately 14.5% from its current price of $498.

Therefore, an investment of $1,000 could turn into $1,145 if the price prediction from Oppenheimer turns out to be accurate. Microsoft stock has been cyclical at the $500 level and is looking for a breakthrough. An investment below the $500 range could be beneficial for investors, as the majority of bulls are confident MSFT will kick-start a rally.
