Solana Mainnet to Activate Alpenglow in October; Validator Client Frankendancer to Be Discontinued
PANews reported on September 11 that according to SolanaFloor, Jump Crypto's Firedancer team will stop supporting the Solana transitional validator client Frankendancer after Alpenglow is activated on the Solana mainnet. The upgrade is expected to go live with v4.3 in October. The team stated that the decision was made due to its maintenance and security burden, and resources will subsequently be concentrated on the full Firedancer client.
