Strategy Raises $20.9 Billion in 2023, Holds 845,000 BTC

Strategy has successfully raised approximately $20.9 billion this year through the issuance of common and preferred stock, positioning itself as the fourth largest stock issuer in the United States, following SpaceX, Alphabet, and Intel. This significant capital influx reflects the company's strong market presence and investor confidence.

In a recent financial maneuver, Strategy reported a net gain of $602.8 million from the sale of MSTR common stock. Of this amount, $369.7 million was allocated to the acquisition of 4,603 BTC, with an average purchase price of around $80,318. As of August 30, the company's total Bitcoin holdings reached 845,050, with a cumulative purchase cost of approximately $63.73 billion and an average cost of about $75,412 per Bitcoin.

Additionally, MSCI is set to conclude its consultation regarding financial reserves for digital asset companies by September 30. The outcome may lead to potential adjustments in the inclusion criteria for related indices, which is being closely monitored by market participants.
