T. Rowe Price Files New Prospectus for Active Crypto ETF TKNZ
T. Rowe Price, a major asset management firm with approximately $1.9 trillion in assets under management, has submitted a new free writing prospectus for its Active Crypto ETF, trading under the ticker TKNZ on NYSE Arca. This filing is part of the ongoing regulatory process for what is considered the first actively managed, multi-token spot exchange-traded product approved in the United States.
The TKNZ fund began trading on July 16, 2026, following initial SEC approval of NYSE Arca's listing rule change on June 12, 2026. The fund's portfolio includes major cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB, XRP, and Solana, with Bitcoin expected to comprise between 30% and 80% of the total assets. Unlike traditional ETFs that track an index, TKNZ employs active management strategies to adjust holdings based on research into market fundamentals and risk management.
The fund is structured as a Delaware statutory trust and is managed by Blue Macellari along with a team of four co-managers. The net management fee starts at 0.75% and is set to increase to 0.90% after May 31, 2027. T. Rowe Price's entry into the crypto market follows similar moves by firms like BlackRock and Fidelity, but TKNZ distinguishes itself by focusing on a multi-asset management approach rather than single-token investments.
