Crypto industry PACs have poured over $52 million into the Ohio Senate race

PANews, October 17 – According to Cointelegraph, political action committees (PACs) tied to the crypto industry have poured more than $52 million into the Ohio Senate race to oppose former Democratic Senator Sherrod Brown and support incumbent Republican Senator Jon Husted.

The main spender is Defend American Jobs, an affiliate of Fairshake, which has spent $46.6 million on media ads, a significant increase from its previously announced $30 million plan. The PAC is primarily funded by Coinbase and Ripple Labs. In addition, the Digital Freedom Fund, founded by Gemini co-founders the Winklevoss brothers, added roughly $3 million in ad spending this week, bringing its total investment in the race to more than $5.9 million.
