Pro-Crypto Nonprofit Launches National Ad Campaign for Clarity Act

A 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization associated with Fairshake, a prominent super PAC in the cryptocurrency sector, is initiating a national advertising campaign to advocate for the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act. This legislation, formally designated as H.R. 3633, aims to establish a federal regulatory framework for digital assets, delineating the roles of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The bill also incorporates anti-money laundering measures to address concerns regarding potential illicit financial activities.

Fairshake and its affiliates have invested between $130 million and $196 million during the 2024 election cycle, with notable financial support from companies such as Coinbase, Ripple Labs, and venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz (a16z). As of early to mid-2026, Fairshake entities reportedly maintain cash reserves ranging from $122 million to $193 million. The choice to utilize a 501(c)(4) for this campaign allows the organization to conduct issue advocacy without disclosing donor identities, in contrast to super PACs that are required to reveal their contributors.

The Clarity Act has garnered bipartisan support, passing the House of Representatives in July 2025 and subsequently clearing the Senate Banking Committee with a 15-9 vote in May 2026. However, the bill has faced delays in the Senate. Additionally, the advocacy group Stand With Crypto, linked to the PAC network, has mobilized nearly 3 million individuals to engage with lawmakers on digital asset policy, resulting in significant outreach to congressional offices and numerous petitions aimed at advancing the Clarity Act.
