Crypto PAC Fairshake Endorses 32 Congressional Candidates for 2026 Midterm Elections
Fairshake, a political action committee (PAC) focused on cryptocurrency, has announced its endorsement of 32 candidates for the upcoming 2026 U.S. midterm elections. This group includes 19 Republicans and 13 Democrats who previously supported the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act (CLARITY Act) in 2025. The PAC is backed by major institutions such as Coinbase, Ripple Labs, and A16z, and plans to invest an initial $6 million in campaign support, with $1 million allocated to three candidates from each party.
Geoff Vetter, a spokesperson for Fairshake, emphasized the committee's commitment to supporting pro-crypto candidates who promote American innovation. Despite the candidates' support for the CLARITY Act, the bill did not pass a crucial Senate vote, leaving its future uncertain. Fairshake aims to leverage its financial resources, with expectations to invest over $100 million this year in advertising to bolster House and Senate candidates, including a significant $30 million earmarked for the Ohio Senate race, where Republican Jon Husted is challenging incumbent Democrat Sherrod Brown.
As of August 2026, Fairshake reported holding $122 million in cash reserves, positioning itself to create the largest coalition of pro-crypto lawmakers in U.S. history. This strategic investment reflects the growing influence of cryptocurrency interests in American politics, as the PAC seeks to align legislative support with the interests of the digital asset industry.
