This marks the second time this month that ARK has reduced its Twist Bioscience holdings. The firm previously offloaded 46,931 shares of the biotechnology company on September 29.
ARK’s Acquisition Strategy
The investment firm accumulated 1,482,357 shares of Recursion Pharmaceuticals. The transaction totaled approximately $6.1 million and was executed via the ARKK and ARKG funds.
Recursion Pharmaceuticals, Inc., RXRX
Recursion Pharmaceuticals operates as a biotechnology enterprise leveraging artificial intelligence technology for pharmaceutical development. The company’s stock surged more than 16% during Monday’s trading session.
The biopharmaceutical firm recently announced an extension of its data-licensing partnership with Tempus, extending the collaboration through 2029. Wall Street analysts have established a consensus 12-month price objective of $7.22 for the equity, per Koyfin data.
ARK additionally purchased 96,308 shares of Intellia Therapeutics. The acquisition carried a valuation of approximately $1.18 million.
This transaction builds upon previous accumulation activity. Since September 29, ARK has purchased more than 1,178,000 Intellia shares.
Intellia Therapeutics is currently awaiting regulatory approval from the FDA for its flagship treatment, designed to address hereditary angioedema. The regulatory decision deadline is scheduled for March 10, 2027.
Barclays recently initiated research coverage on Intellia with an “Underweight” recommendation. The financial institution established a price objective of $8, representing a potential 36% decline from present trading levels.
The investment manager also acquired 115,472 shares of Veracyte via its ARKG fund. The transaction was valued at approximately $5.29 million.
Veracyte recently unveiled Phase 3 clinical trial results. The findings demonstrated that the company’s Decipher Prostate diagnostic test can assist in identifying prostate cancer patients who might derive benefit from incorporating hormone therapy alongside radiation treatment.
ARK’s Divestment Activity
Beyond Twist Bioscience, ARK liquidated positions in two additional portfolio companies on Monday.
The investment firm offloaded 27,277 shares of 10x Genomics. The transaction generated approximately $2.55 million.
ARK also divested 22,271 shares of CareDx. The sale produced proceeds valued at roughly $1.5 million.
Twist Bioscience shares climbed 8.7% during Monday’s session. The equity has surged more than 60% throughout the past month.
The stock’s impressive rally has been attributed to investor enthusiasm surrounding the company’s synthetic-DNA technology platform. Twist has also entered into a collaboration agreement to provide support for Eli Lilly’s TuneLab AI pharmaceutical discovery platform.
10x Genomics shares advanced 4.5% on Monday and have appreciated more than 48% during the past month. CareDx shares climbed 4% on Monday, hitting their highest valuation in over four years.
Over recent weeks, ARK has liquidated approximately $6 million worth of Twist Bioscience shares through its ARKG fund. The firm maintains its practice of publishing daily trading activity each morning.
