Cleveland Fed's Inflation Nowcast Aligns with Wall Street Predictions

The Cleveland Federal Reserve's latest inflation nowcast indicates that core consumer prices in the United States are expected to rise by 0.20% month-over-month. This figure closely aligns with the median forecast of analysts, who anticipated a 0.21% increase.

In terms of overall inflation, the headline Consumer Price Index (CPI) is projected to increase by 0.53% month-over-month. This figure falls slightly below analysts' expectations, which ranged from 0.55% to 0.62%.

The data suggests that while core inflation is likely to meet expectations, the headline inflation rate may present a minor surprise by coming in lower than anticipated.
