Gold Prices Rebound Above $4,400 After Recent Decline

Gold prices have rebounded to above $4,400, recovering from a near four-week low of $4,282 earlier this week. The increase is attributed to a decline in global bond yields, which had previously dampened demand for gold, a non-interest-bearing asset. As yields eased, gold was able to regain some of its lost ground, trading at approximately $4,420 today.

The recent price movements in gold are also influenced by technical factors. After a significant drop following the Jackson Hole economic symposium, gold prices fell below both the 100 and 200-day moving averages. However, the price stabilized near the 50.0 Fibonacci retracement level, which has provided a support base for buyers. Key resistance levels are now identified at the 100-hour moving average around $4,428 and the 200-hour moving average at approximately $4,528.

Market participants are closely monitoring the upcoming US jobs report, which is expected to have implications for the bond market and, consequently, for gold prices. The report could influence investor sentiment and affect the dynamics of gold trading as the week progresses.
