Russia Shifts Grain Exports to Baltic and Arctic Ports Amid Black Sea Challenges

Russian firms are adapting to disruptions in Black Sea grain exports by converting fertilizer and coal terminals at Baltic and Arctic ports for grain shipments. This strategic shift comes as Black Sea shipments face significant delays, prompting the need for alternative export routes.

In September, rail applications to Ultramar’s Baltic terminal reached approximately 260,000 tons. Additionally, Russian Railways has begun accepting grain shipments from southern Russia to Murmansk, with plans to export these grains in October. This move highlights the ongoing adjustments within Russia's agricultural export strategy in response to logistical challenges.
