Binance Introduces Auto Order Routing Feature on Spot Platform
Binance has launched a new feature called Auto Order Routing (AOR) on its Spot exchange, aimed at enhancing trading efficiency for users. Announced on October 12, 2026, the feature is set to go live for eligible trading pairs starting October 20, 2026. AOR is designed to optimize trades by routing them through more liquid pairs when it results in a better price, while maintaining a single standard Spot trading fee for users.
The AOR system automatically evaluates the order book of the direct trading pair and compares it to a more liquid intermediary pair, such as BTC/USDT. This process occurs in the background, allowing users to execute trades without the need to manually split orders or calculate combined prices. The feature supports various order types, including limit orders and market orders, and can be toggled on or off through a Trading Mode dropdown menu.
Initially, the rollout will focus on U-quoted symbols, including USD and USDC, with plans to expand to other currencies pending regulatory approval. Binance emphasizes that AOR is a targeted upgrade rather than a complete overhaul of its trading platform, specifically catering to traders in lower-volume markets. The single-fee structure is expected to eliminate a common barrier for users considering order routing, although the actual impact on trade execution and pricing remains to be seen as independent data is limited.
