BingX EU Has Obtained a MiCA License in Austria to Operate in the European Economic Area

      • BingX EU has obtained a MiCA license from Austria’s Financial Market Authority.
      • The authorization will allow it to provide regulated crypto services in 29 EEA countries once passporting procedures are completed.
      • The company plans to expand access to digital asset services for retail and institutional users in Europe.

Crypto exchange BingX EU (MEGE zweite GmbH) has obtained a license under the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) from Austria’s Financial Market Authority (FMA). The company told Incrypted about this.

The authorization will allow the platform to provide regulated crypto services in 29 countries of the European Economic Area (EEA), provided the relevant passporting procedures are completed, according to the press release.

The team noted that obtaining the license is an important milestone in expanding BingX’s presence in the European market. The company plans to provide EEA users with access to digital asset services within a single regulatory framework focused on transparency, security, and investor protection.

BingX EU added that receiving the authorization reflects the company’s long-term strategy for responsible growth in Europe.

As digital assets become integrated into the financial system, regulatory clarity plays an increasingly important role in strengthening user trust, attracting institutional clients, and ensuring the industry’s sustainable development, the company emphasized.

In addition, the statement says that through its regulated European legal entity, BingX EU will provide crypto services in line with regulatory requirements. The company’s products will be tailored to the needs of both retail and institutional users in the EEA.

“Our priority is to provide European users with a reliable, locally regulated trading experience,” said BingX EU CEO Daniel Lai.

According to him, operating under MiCA will enable the company to provide services within a clear regulatory framework that strengthens user trust and supports the long-term development of Europe’s digital asset ecosystem.

“This also gives us the opportunity to combine innovation with the high standards of security, transparency, and accountability that European users and institutional participants expect. We believe this framework can help create a more accessible and sustainable environment for the further adoption of digital assets in the region,” Lai added.

The team said that going forward, BingX EU will continue working with the Austrian Financial Market Authority and other European regulators as part of preparations to launch regulated services across the EEA.

The company also confirmed its intention to comply with European regulatory requirements and provide users with safe and transparent access to digital asset services.
