Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs Experience Significant Inflows

On September 18, 2026, U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) recorded $433 million in net inflows, while spot Ethereum ETFs saw an increase of $144 million in a single day. This surge indicates a renewed interest from institutional investors in cryptocurrency exposure, following a period of mixed and negative inflow sessions.

Fidelity Investments led the Bitcoin ETF inflows, with its FBTC product attracting $311 million, accounting for approximately 72% of the total inflows. BlackRock's IBIT contributed $108 million. In contrast, the Ethereum ETF landscape saw BlackRock's ETHA dominate with $114 million, while Fidelity's FETH added $26 million.

The total assets under management (AUM) for Bitcoin ETFs have reached $102.532 billion, representing 6.29% of Bitcoin's market capitalization. Cumulative historical net inflows into Bitcoin ETFs now stand at $55.161 billion. Meanwhile, Ethereum ETFs, with a smaller AUM of $16.719 billion, represent 5.2% of Ethereum's market cap, with cumulative inflows totaling $13.250 billion. The narrowing gap between the market cap penetration of Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs suggests a growing interest in Ethereum products among investors.
