Bitcoin ETF Inflows Turn Positive After Significant Deficit

Capital flows into Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have turned positive for the year, recovering from a deficit of $5.8 billion U.S. earlier in the year. Recent data indicates that investors have injected billions into U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs, resulting in net inflows of $800 million U.S. as of late September 2026.

The turnaround in investor sentiment comes as the price of Bitcoin has surged to $85,000 U.S., up from a low of $58,000 U.S. at the end of June. This renewed interest in Bitcoin ETFs has led to a significant recovery, with $2.84 billion U.S. attracted over the past six trading days alone.

Despite the positive trend, the current net inflows of $800 million U.S. for 2026 are considerably lower than the $35.2 billion U.S. recorded in 2024 and the $21.4 billion U.S. seen in 2025. Analysts remain optimistic about the future of Bitcoin funds as they continue to gain traction in the market.
