Bitwise Survey: Crypto Allocations Among Institutions Are Mostly 1%–2%, With None of 15 Interviewed Cutting Exposure During a 50% Market DeclineBitwise interviewed investment professionals at 15 endowments, pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, family offices and public companies between late March and April 2026.All crypto-owning respondents held Bitcoin. Crypto allocations ranged from 0.5% to 13% of investable assets, with most between 1% and 2%. None reduced exposure as the crypto market fell roughly 50% between October 2025 and April 2026, while several added to their positions.Nearly all respondents already use or plan to use spot crypto ETFs. Bitwise said governance, operational and reputational concerns remain the main barriers to larger allocations.
