Citi Projects Gains for Galaxy Digital Amid Crypto Market Recovery

Citi has indicated that Galaxy Digital is positioned to benefit from a recent rebound in the cryptocurrency market. The bank has raised its price targets for Bitcoin and Ether, forecasting Bitcoin to reach $113,000 and Ether to hit $3,028 within the next 12 months. These adjustments come after a significant increase in cryptocurrency prices, with Bitcoin rising approximately 40% and Ether gaining about 68% over the past three months.

The positive outlook is supported by a notable shift in fund flows, with U.S. spot crypto exchange-traded funds (ETFs) attracting around $800 million in net inflows by late September 2026, reversing earlier outflows. Citi anticipates that inflows from financial advisors and brokerages could reach about $5 billion over the next year, which is expected to positively impact Galaxy Digital's revenue across its various business segments, including trading and asset management.

Despite the optimistic projections for the cryptocurrency market, Citi maintained a Neutral rating for Galaxy Digital's stock, lowering its price target for the company's shares from $28 to $26. While Citi's stance remains cautious, the broader analyst consensus on Galaxy Digital is more favorable, leaning towards a Moderate Buy rating. Additionally, the regulatory environment has shown slight improvements, with recent announcements from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) helping to alleviate some concerns following the Senate's failure to advance the Clarity Act.
