Solana Emerges as Leading Platform for Stablecoin Lending Yields

Solana has established itself as the top blockchain for stablecoin lending yields, surpassing competitors like Ethereum and Arbitrum. Current yields on Solana range from 6.7% to 8%, while Ethereum and Arbitrum offer yields between 3% and 4.4%. This significant difference highlights the growing interest in Solana's lending protocols, which now manage over $2.7 billion in total value locked.

The majority of this lending activity is concentrated in two protocols: Kamino Lend, with approximately $1.31 billion in total value locked, and Jupiter Lend, holding around $1.13 billion. As of October 10, 2026, Jupiter Lend's USDC pool offered a 5.12% annual percentage yield (APY) on nearly $497 million in deposits, while Kamino's Sentora PYUSD vault reached an impressive 8.02%, including rewards, on $112 million in deposits.

High utilization rates, reportedly between 95% and 99%, are driving these elevated yields. As the amount of borrowed funds approaches the total deposits, interest rates increase to attract new deposits and manage borrowing demand. However, this situation poses risks for depositors, as liquidity may be limited if many attempt to withdraw simultaneously. Additionally, the quality of returns varies, with some yields influenced by promotional rewards and exposure to off-chain assets.
