Interactive Brokers Introduces Ethereum Staking for US Clients

Interactive Brokers, a Nasdaq-listed brokerage, has launched Ethereum staking for eligible clients in the United States, effective October 13, 2026. This new service is made possible through a partnership with ZeroHash, a digital asset infrastructure provider, allowing clients to stake their idle Ethereum directly from the IBKR Client Portal.

Clients can access a Staking Dashboard within the portal to manage their staking activities, including staking and unstaking requests. Rewards from staking will be credited as additional staked Ethereum, enabling clients to compound their earnings over time. Eligible clients will retain at least 70% of the staking rewards, with no minimum staking amount required, making it accessible for clients with varying amounts of Ethereum.

While the service is available to many US clients, residents of California, Maryland, New Jersey, and Wisconsin are excluded from the initial rollout. This launch follows ZeroHash's Staking-as-a-Service offering introduced earlier in June 2026, with Interactive Brokers recognized as one of its initial partners. The brokerage also provides trading access to approximately 20 tokens and options for stablecoin transactions, further expanding its cryptocurrency services.
