Latitude Secures $35 Million to Enhance Stablecoin Payment Solutions

Latitude has successfully raised $35 million in a Series A funding round led by Oak HC/FT, aimed at improving the integration of stablecoin settlements with local payment systems. Other notable investors in this round include NEA, Coinbase Ventures, Lightspeed Faction, and OpenFX. This funding will be utilized to secure licenses and establish local payout connections, which are essential for facilitating stablecoin transactions through traditional banking and domestic payment schemes.

The recent funding follows an earlier $8 million seed round earlier in 2026, bringing Latitude's total funding to $43 million. Founded by former executives from Stripe, Coinbase, Meta, Uber, and Zero Hash, Latitude aims to simplify the use of stablecoins for businesses, allowing them to transfer funds seamlessly across various markets without needing extensive knowledge of the underlying technology.

Latitude currently holds 39 money transmission licenses, one state registration, and five no-action letters, with its subsidiary, Latitude Payments Inc., registered as a money services business with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) in the United States. The company has already established payout markets in several countries, including Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, the Philippines, India, and many European nations, with plans to expand into additional markets in Latin America and Asia.

Oivind Lorentzen, a partner at Oak HC/FT, emphasized Latitude's commitment to building a robust regulatory framework and local connectivity necessary for scaling operations. This funding round comes amid a competitive landscape, with other companies like Circle and Privy also making significant moves to enhance their stablecoin and fiat payment capabilities.
