Strategy Proposes Daily Dividends for U.S.-Listed Preferred Stocks
Strategy has proposed a new dividend structure for its four U.S.-listed preferred stocks: STRC, STRF, STRK, and STRD. If approved by shareholders, the company plans to implement daily dividends, with every calendar day serving as a record date for dividend payments, including weekends and holidays. Payments would be made on the following business day, marking a significant shift in the current payment schedule.
Currently, STRC pays dividends twice a month, while STRF, STRK, and STRD distribute dividends quarterly. The proposed change will not alter the total annual dividend amount; rather, it will divide the existing payments into smaller, more frequent distributions. This adjustment aims to enhance the perceived stability and liquidity of these preferred stocks, making them more attractive to investors.
The initiative is designed to reduce price volatility and increase demand for the preferred stocks, with a specific goal of maintaining STRC's price around the targeted range of $99 to $100. Shareholders are set to vote on this proposal on October 28, 2026. If the plan receives approval, the new daily dividend payments for STRC would commence on November 1, 2026, with the first payment scheduled for November 2. The other three preferred stocks would transition to daily payments starting January 1, 2027, with their initial payments expected on January 4.
