Singapore Gulf Bank Introduces Stablecoin Exchange for Personal Customers

Singapore Gulf Bank (SGB) has launched a new stablecoin exchange service that allows individual customers to conduct two-way exchanges between the US dollar (USD) and popular stablecoins USDT and USDC directly through its mobile banking app. This initiative eliminates the need for customers to transfer funds to a separate cryptocurrency exchange, streamlining the process of managing digital assets.

The service enables customers to hold USDT, USDC, and various fiat currencies within the same bank account, providing greater flexibility in managing their finances. The exchange operates 24 hours a day from Monday to Friday, catering to the needs of users who wish to trade stablecoins at their convenience.

SGB was established by the Singapore Huangpu Group, marking a significant step in the integration of traditional banking services with cryptocurrency offerings in Singapore. This move reflects the growing trend among financial institutions to embrace digital currencies and enhance customer access to cryptocurrency markets.
