Crypto ETFs Extend Outflow Streak on October 15 as Ethereum…

US-listed cryptocurrency exchange-traded funds continued to experience selling pressure on Thursday, October 15, 2026, as investors withdrew capital from Ethereum and Solana products while Bitcoin funds reported preliminary net redemptions.According to Farside Investors, spot Ethereum ETFs recorded $60.3 million in net outflows, while Solana funds lost $9.8 million. Bitcoin ETFs showed $11.7 million in reported withdrawals, although BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) had not published its figures. The combined reported outflow across the three categories reached $81.8 million, subject to revision when outstanding Bitcoin fund data becomes available. The latest withdrawals followed a substantially weaker October 14 session, when Bitcoin ETFs lost $261.4 million, Ethereum products shed $129.5 million and Solana funds recorded $1.3 million in redemptions. The figures suggest continued caution toward cryptocurrency investment products amid broader financial market volatility.

Ethereum Outflows Led by BlackRock and Grayscale

BlackRock's iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA) accounted for the largest Ethereum withdrawals on October 15, recording $44.4 million in net redemptions. Grayscale's Ethereum Trust (ETHE) experienced another $18.3 million in outflows, while Fidelity's Ethereum Fund (FETH) attracted $2.4 million in fresh capital. The remaining tracked Ethereum products recorded no net flows, leaving the category with $60.3 million in total withdrawals. The result represented an improvement from October 14, when Ethereum funds lost $129.5 million, driven primarily by $109.8 million in redemptions from BlackRock's ETHA. Ethereum ETFs have experienced persistent selling pressure during October, interrupted by occasional inflow sessions. On October 13, the category attracted $24.8 million, supported by Fidelity and Grayscale's Ethereum Mini Trust. However, the subsequent two sessions produced combined withdrawals of $189.8 million, more than offsetting that temporary recovery.Bitcoin ETFs also remained under pressure. Farside reported $4.1 million in withdrawals from Valkyrie's BRRR and $7.6 million from Grayscale's Bitcoin Mini Trust (BTC). Other reporting funds registered zero net flows, but BlackRock's IBIT remained outstanding, preventing confirmation of the final Bitcoin category total.

      Solana Funds Record Larger Redemptions

Solana ETFs experienced $9.8 million in net outflows on October 15, compared with $1.3 million the previous session. Grayscale's Solana Trust (GSOL) led withdrawals with $6 million, while Bitwise's Solana ETF (BSOL) lost another $3.8 million. The remaining Solana funds recorded no net movement. The latest result extended a period of weakness for Solana investment products, which have recorded withdrawals across multiple October trading sessions. From October 12 through October 15, Solana ETFs experienced approximately $12.8 million in cumulative net redemptions. The broader trend reflects uneven institutional demand across cryptocurrency investment products. Bitcoin and Ethereum funds continue to account for substantially larger capital movements, while Solana's smaller ETF market can experience meaningful percentage changes from comparatively modest transactions. However, ETF flows measure net subscriptions and redemptions rather than secondary-market trading volume or changes in total assets caused by cryptocurrency prices. The October 15 figures therefore indicate reduced net investor exposure through these products, but do not independently establish the motivations behind the withdrawals. For investors, the outstanding IBIT figure remains important because BlackRock's fund can materially influence aggregate Bitcoin ETF flows. Until that information is available, the session's complete cross-asset total remains provisional.
