Tom Lee Predicts Major Cryptocurrency Bull Market Driven by New Forces

Tom Lee, Chairman of BitMine, announced at the TOKEN2049 summit in Singapore that the cryptocurrency market has entered a "full bull market." He identified August 2026 as a potential starting point for this bullish trend, asserting that the market has already reached its bottom in the current four-year cycle. Lee expressed optimism that this cycle could evolve into the largest cryptocurrency bull market in history.

Lee highlighted four new driving forces propelling this bull market, which differ from previous cycles. These include the rise of institution-driven asset tokenization, an anticipated intergenerational wealth transfer over the next decade, the ongoing absorption of cryptocurrency supply by Digital Asset Treasury companies, and the integration of artificial intelligence with cryptocurrency, particularly in payment scenarios involving AI Agents.

He emphasized that the migration of traditional financial assets to blockchain technology will serve as a significant source of new capital. Furthermore, Lee suggested that AI Agents are likely to utilize cryptocurrency wallets for future payments and settlements, indicating a transformative shift in how digital currencies may be used in financial transactions.
