Vitalik: The ideal multisig security rule is for each signer to rotate keys after every operation

PANews reported on October 8 that Vitalik stated on X that for multisignature wallets, the ideal "secure" practice is for each signer to rotate their keys after every operation. The implicit assumption behind this rule is that ECDSA may become insecure but will not be cracked instantly, so protection against mempool front-running is still needed. Vitalik said that if conditions allow, signatures should be collected off-chain to minimize the time gap between "signature made public" and "key invalidation." However, he still emphasized one point: losses due to misconfiguration or hasty upgrades can easily occur, so do not rush.
