Citigroup Projects TSMC Revenue Growth to Exceed 40% Through 2027

Citigroup analysts have forecasted that Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) will experience revenue growth exceeding 40% before 2027, driven by robust demand for artificial intelligence (AI) computing power and advancements in co-packaged optical network technologies. The report highlights the anticipated acceleration in growth for major AI chip customers such as Nvidia, AMD, and Broadcom, suggesting that TSMC's revenue from AI-related products could nearly double in the coming year.

The analysts expect that this strong revenue outlook will lead to an increase in TSMC's capital expenditures, projecting them to rise to $81 billion in 2027 and $90 billion in 2028. Citigroup has maintained a buy rating for TSMC and has adjusted its target price from NT$3,800 to NT$4,000, reflecting confidence in the company's growth trajectory amidst the expanding AI market.
