XRP Price Rises 8% as Large Holders Accumulate Over $2 Billion in Tokens

XRP experienced an 8.22% price increase, recovering from lows near $1.24 to surpass $1.40, with intraday highs reaching between $1.45 and $1.48. This rally followed a significant accumulation by large holders, who collectively purchased approximately 1.54 billion XRP tokens over a four-day period ending September 19, 2026. The total value of these acquisitions was around $2.2 billion, according to on-chain data from Santiment.

The buying surge coincided with a recent setback for the CLARITY Act in the U.S. Senate, which had previously contributed to the price dip. Analysts noted that the recovery aligned with a technical chart pattern known as an inverse head-and-shoulders formation, indicating a potential bullish trend. Daily trading volumes during this period fluctuated between $2.6 billion and $3.4 billion, reflecting heightened market activity.

Additionally, data from CryptoQuant revealed that approximately 1.6 billion XRP tokens flowed into the Binance exchange in the month leading up to this report, marking the highest inflow since March 2026. While inflows can indicate potential selling pressure, they also suggest that large players utilize exchanges for various trading strategies, not solely for immediate sales. Analysts are now monitoring resistance levels around $1.50 to $1.55 as key indicators for XRP's future performance.
