AWS to Increase GPU Prices Amid Sustained AI Demand

Amazon Web Services (AWS) will implement a 15% increase in reserved GPU compute prices starting October 7, 2026. This follows a 20% price hike that occurred in July 2026, marking the fourth consecutive quarterly increase in GPU pricing.

The price adjustments affect the H100, H200, B200, and B300 GPU models, which have seen cumulative increases ranging from 40% to 75% year-to-date. Analysts from Wells Fargo suggest that this pricing strategy is indicative of strong demand for AI capabilities and is expected to contribute positively to AWS's revenue growth into early 2027.

Wells Fargo has maintained an Overweight rating on Amazon, projecting a target price of $338 for the company's stock. The sustained demand for AI services is seen as a key factor driving these price increases.
