Bloomberg Projects U.S. Inflation to Rise to 3.7%

Bloomberg Economics has projected that the headline Consumer Price Index (CPI) in the United States will increase by 0.6% month-over-month, resulting in an annual inflation rate of 3.7%. This marks a rise from the previous annual inflation rate of 3.4%.

The forecast indicates that core CPI, which excludes volatile food and energy prices, is expected to rise by 0.23% month-over-month. This would bring the annual core inflation rate to approximately 2.46%.

The analysis suggests that inflation for core goods is likely to accelerate, while inflation in the services sector is anticipated to cool down. These trends could have significant implications for economic policy and consumer spending in the coming months.
