Eurozone Inflation Expectations Show Slight Increase in August

In August 2026, the European Central Bank (ECB) reported that one-year inflation expectations in the Eurozone stood at 3.0%. This figure is slightly below the estimated expectation of 3.1% but represents an increase from the previous month's rate of 2.9%.

Additionally, three-year inflation expectations rose to 2.9%, surpassing the estimated 2.8% and up from 2.7% in the prior month. These figures indicate a growing concern among consumers and businesses regarding future inflation trends in the Eurozone, which may influence monetary policy decisions by the ECB moving forward.
