NVIDIA to Invest $2 Billion in European AI Initiatives
NVIDIA plans to announce a $2 billion investment in artificial intelligence initiatives across Europe, according to CEO Jensen Huang. This new funding will supplement the $8 billion the company has already invested in the region over the past year.
As part of this initiative, NVIDIA will provide financial support to four French AI startups: Doctolib, which focuses on healthcare technology; Genesis AI, specializing in robotics; Pigment, a business software company; and Entalpic, which is involved in chemistry and materials research.
Huang emphasized the importance of accelerating AI development in Europe, advocating for open-source models and technological sovereignty. He stated that Europe must enhance its efforts to remain competitive in the global AI landscape.
