Pemberton appoints gead €1.6bn CLO platform
Pemberton Asset Management has appointed Dominic Courtman as managing director and head of its collateralised loan obligation (CLO) group, as the European private credit manager looks to build on the growth of its €1.6bn CLO platform, according to a report by Pulse 2.0
Courtman will join Pemberton in January 2027, bringing more than three decades of experience spanning leveraged credit, portfolio management and corporate finance.
He joins from Investcorp, where he was managing director, deputy chief investment officer and senior portfolio manager. His responsibilities included managing the firm’s European CLOs and closed-ended credit funds.
Pemberton launched its CLO platform with a focus on actively managed portfolios of broadly syndicated European leveraged loans. The strategy combines fundamental credit analysis with portfolio construction and ongoing risk management and forms part of the firm’s wider multi-strategy private credit business.
The platform, known as Indigo, has grown to €1.6bn in assets under management since its launch. During 2025, Pemberton issued the Indigo III and Indigo IV CLOs and completed a repricing of Indigo I.
Courtman will succeed Rob Reynolds, who is stepping down after almost five years leading Pemberton’s CLO business. Reynolds plans to spend more time with his family while pursuing other interests, including writing.
Jay Daryanani, managing director and deputy head of CLOs, will oversee the team until Courtman takes up his new position in January.
