Saudi Arabia Resumes Crude Oil Exports from Yanbu Port

Saudi Arabia is set to restart crude oil exports from the Red Sea port of Yanbu as early as today, signaling a recovery in the kingdom's oil export infrastructure. This decision comes after the East-West oil pipeline was shut down due to drone attacks earlier this month. The pipeline, which connects Saudi Arabia's major oil-producing regions in the east to Yanbu, has a maximum capacity of approximately 7 million barrels per day and allows the country to export crude without passing through the Strait of Hormuz.

Several Asian refiners have been notified by Saudi Aramco that they will soon be able to resume collecting crude from Yanbu. The resumption of these exports is crucial for the global oil market, as the earlier disruption posed a significant threat to oil supplies. The news has contributed to a decline in oil prices, with West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude trading below $90 per barrel, marking the fifth consecutive day of losses.

The easing of supply concerns comes amid improving expectations for Saudi export flows and potential diplomatic progress between the United States and Iran. As the situation develops, market analysts will be closely monitoring the implications for global oil prices and supply stability.
