Siebert Financial Projects Bitcoin Rally Beyond $175,000 on Stablecoin Expansion
Key Takeaways
- Brian Vieten, senior research analyst at Siebert Financial, forecasts bitcoin surging above $175,000 within the coming quarters.
- Enhanced institutional participation and expanded financing mechanisms have strengthened bitcoin’s market position since the 2022 crypto lending crisis.
- Leading financial institutions like JPMorgan now permit borrowers to use BlackRock’s IBIT bitcoin ETF shares as lending collateral.
- Expanding stablecoin adoption represents the primary catalyst for bitcoin’s anticipated price appreciation.
- The GENIUS Act becomes operational on Jan. 18, 2027, while Samsung Wallet integrated USDC support in late October.
Brian Vieten, a senior research analyst with Siebert Financial, forecasts that bitcoin will exceed $175,000 during the upcoming quarters. His analysis was provided to Bitcoin.com News on Oct. 14.
Vieten contends that bitcoin has demonstrated greater stability following the collapse of crypto lending platforms in 2022. He attributes this resilience to expanded institutional participation and improved financing infrastructure.
“The market structure has fundamentally shifted,” Vieten stated.
His price projection extends from a previously developed three-component valuation framework. This model examines monetary supply expansion, digital wallet penetration, and bitcoin demand dynamics.

ETFs and Traditional Banking Transform Market Dynamics
Vieten identifies exchange-traded funds (ETFs) as vehicles delivering more stable, long-horizon capital allocation. During a Sept. 1 discussion, he attributed bitcoin’s rebound to enhanced market sentiment combined with short covering activity.
He observes that distribution pressure has diminished across multiple market participant categories. Mining operations are diversifying into artificial intelligence and high-performance computing sectors, potentially unlocking alternative revenue streams.
According to his assessment, corporations maintaining bitcoin treasury positions operate with minimal debt loads and controlled expenditure requirements. He notes that blockchain-based trading venues provide enhanced transparency into market mechanics.
Bank participation in crypto financing represents another cornerstone of his thesis. Vieten highlights that prominent financial institutions, including JPMorgan, currently recognize BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) as acceptable collateral.
This arrangement enables clients to leverage fund holdings for borrowing purposes without liquidating positions. JPMorgan’s intention to accept bitcoin ETFs as collateral initially surfaced in reports from June 2025.
Strategy Executive Chairman Michael Saylor has expressed parallel observations regarding expanding institutional engagement. He anticipates advancement in custody services and lending frameworks through banking channels and regulatory bodies, despite legislative delays.
Vieten views the November midterm elections as presenting minimal risk to digital asset policy trajectory.
Stablecoin Proliferation Expected to Fuel Next Rally Phase
Vieten connects bitcoin’s forthcoming price advance to accelerating stablecoin utilization. These digital tokens maintain stable valuations, typically anchored to the U.S. dollar.
His reasoning suggests that expanded blockchain payment adoption could channel additional participants and capital into cryptocurrency markets. This influx would strengthen demand across digital assets, bitcoin included.
The GENIUS Act mandates full reserve backing for stablecoins with qualified assets including cash holdings, bank deposits, and short-duration Treasury securities. Implementation is scheduled for Jan. 18, 2027.
Vieten anticipates that stablecoin expansion will bolster demand for short-term government debt. “That’s what takes us to $175k and beyond in the next few quarters,” he explained.
Consumer accessibility continues broadening. Samsung revealed on Oct. 7 that USDC capabilities would arrive in Samsung Wallet during October’s final week.
The integration will reach 82 million U.S. Galaxy devices upon deployment. Account holders will gain the ability to execute qualifying transfers to banking institutions across more than 60 nations.
