SpaceX Proposes 32-Mile Natural Gas Pipeline in Florida for Starship Launches

SpaceX has submitted a proposal to construct a 32.4-mile natural gas pipeline in Florida, aimed at supplying methane for its Starship launch operations at Cape Canaveral. This initiative is part of the company's efforts to enhance its launch capabilities as it expands operations in the region.

The proposed pipeline would connect with Florida Gas Transmission, allowing SpaceX to transition from relying on trucked liquefied natural gas (LNG) deliveries to a more stable and continuous gas supply. This infrastructure is expected to support the increased frequency of launches planned by the company.

Despite the pipeline's construction, SpaceX will still require additional facilities to liquefy the natural gas into rocket fuel, indicating that further developments may be necessary to fully support its ambitious launch schedule.
