USD/CHF Currency Pair Shows Signs of Recovery Amid Technical Resistance

The USD/CHF currency pair has shown signs of recovery following a significant correction last week. The price has rebounded and is currently trading between the 100-hour and 200-hour moving averages, with a rising trendline also influencing the trading dynamics. This situation presents a technical challenge for traders, as buyers need to surpass the 100-hour moving average to solidify their position, while sellers aim to push the price below the 200-hour moving average to regain control.

After reaching a recent high of approximately 0.83821, the pair experienced a sharp decline, dropping below both the 100-hour and 200-hour moving averages. However, the price did not fall below the critical 38.2% retracement level of the advance from August, which stands at 0.82167. Following a low of 0.8225 after the jobs report, buyers managed to push the price back up to around 0.8302 before settling slightly lower at the end of the trading week. Currently, the price remains caught between the two moving averages, indicating a neutral technical bias as traders await further direction.

For buyers to strengthen their case, they must break above the 100-hour moving average at 0.83206, which has proven to be a resistance point on two occasions. Conversely, sellers are targeting the 200-hour moving average at 0.83052 and the nearby trendline as immediate support levels. A sustained move below these levels could signal a continuation of the downward trend, with the next target being the recent low of 0.8274 and potentially the 38.2% retracement level if selling momentum increases. As trading continues, the market remains poised for a decisive move in either direction.
