Zcash (ZEC) Surges Past $1,500 Mark Amid Grayscale ETF Share Split Announcement

      Key Highlights

      • ZEC touched a high of $1,521 following an extraordinary 2,800% rally throughout the previous year.
      • The Grayscale Zcash ETF will undergo a 3-for-1 share division, with adjusted trading commencing on Sept. 30.
      • Since debuting on Aug. 25, ZCSH has accumulated over $233 million in total inflows.
      • Net assets under management reached approximately $890 million with cumulative trading volumes exceeding $11 billion.
      • Market analyst Ardi observed simultaneous buying pressure from retail, mid-tier, and institutional participants.

The privacy-centric digital asset Zcash (ZEC) has maintained its position near historic highs following a surge to $1,521, while engagement surrounding Grayscale’s Zcash ETF has intensified significantly.

This privacy-oriented cryptocurrency has experienced a remarkable ascent of roughly 2,800% throughout the past twelve months. The recent price action has drawn considerable attention to both token acquisition and exchange-traded fund participation.

Grayscale has submitted documentation for a 3-for-1 forward share division of its Zcash exchange-traded fund, which operates under the symbol ZCSH.

Upon the conclusion of market hours on Sept. 28, existing shareholders will be entitled to receive two additional shares for each share currently in their possession.

Distribution of the newly created shares is planned for after market close on Sept. 29. Trading reflecting the split adjustment is anticipated to commence on Sept. 30.

ZCSH accumulates over $233 million in capital inflows

This division strategy will decrease the per-share cost of the ETF while proportionally expanding the total share count outstanding.

To illustrate, a position of 10 shares valued at $300 per share would transform into 30 shares priced at approximately $100 each. The aggregate portfolio value would stay constant.

Since its Aug. 25 debut, ZCSH has accumulated more than $233 million in total capital inflows.

The fund registered a $46.6 million single-day inflow on Wednesday and surpassed $112 million on Sept. 8.

Data from Sept. 17 indicates the ETF managed nearly $890 million in net assets while producing over $11 billion in aggregate trading volume.

Additional momentum emerged after Paradigm co-founder Matt Huang revealed that his investment organization had acquired a non-disclosed quantity of ZEC tokens.

Multi-tier buying emerges across market segments

Market analyst Ardi noted evolving patterns in ZEC purchasing behavior through a social media post on X.

According to Ardi, medium-scale traders executing transactions ranging from $10,000 to $100,000 have maintained upward pressure on cumulative volume delta.

He further noted that smaller retail transactions under $10,000 and substantial orders spanning $100,000 to $10 million have now joined the buying activity. During earlier phases of the rally, medium-scale participants had dominated the purchasing momentum.

Mining operations have experienced growth as well. The Zcash network’s solrate climbed from approximately 25 GSol/s in late August to just below 32 GSol/s, while mining complexity achieved levels near 291 million.

Current market conditions position ZEC close to its recent $1,521 apex as ETF capital inflows, diversified purchasing activity, and elevated mining engagement persist in tandem with the ongoing price advance.
