Aave Proposes Automated Risk Management for Pendle Collateral on Plasma
Aave, a decentralized finance protocol, is set to enhance its risk management by integrating LlamaRisk's automated risk oracle agents into its Aave V3 Plasma platform. This governance proposal, initiated on October 1, 2026, aims to allow LlamaRisk's agents to adjust specific risk parameters for the Pendle Principal Token (PT-sUSDe-22OCT2026) automatically, which had over $45 million supplied at the time of the proposal.
The LlamaGuard PT risk oracle agents will operate on Chainlink’s Runtime Environment, enabling them to implement risk decisions directly onto the blockchain without manual intervention. The parameters that the agents will manage include smoothed interest rates and liquidation thresholds, with strict limits on how much they can adjust these settings at a time. For instance, discount rate changes are capped at 100 basis points per update, with a minimum of two days between adjustments.
This move follows a shift earlier in 2026 when LlamaRisk transitioned from manual to automated risk management for Pendle PT parameters on Ethereum. The extension of this model to Plasma indicates Aave's confidence in allowing registered agents to operate across multiple networks. As Aave continues to refine its governance and risk management strategies, the implications for users of Pendle PTs on Plasma could include more frequent and smaller adjustments to risk parameters, enhancing the overall stability of the platform.
