Analysis: Investors tend to believe U.S. CPI will trigger risk-on sentiment

PANews reported on October 14 that Dennis DeBusschere, founder of institutional research firm 22V Research, and his clients believe investors tend to expect the U.S. September CPI, to be released on Wednesday, to trigger a rise in market risk appetite. An internal survey of the firm's clients showed that 44% of respondents expect the market to react to the inflation data with increased risk appetite, while about one-third expect the market reaction to be mixed or largely muted. Nearly half of the surveyed clients believe other investors will also interpret the data as a signal favorable to risk sentiment.
