Bitcoin ETFs Add $175 Million as Crypto Funds Close Week…
U.S.-listed cryptocurrency exchange-traded funds closed the week with approximately $205.8 million of net inflows on Friday, September 4, extending institutional demand after nearly $885 million entered major crypto funds during the previous session.Bitcoin remained the dominant source of capital, attracting $174.6 million. BlackRock's IBIT accounted for $117.4 million, while Fidelity's FBTC added $57.2 million. Every other tracked U.S. Bitcoin ETF recorded zero net flow for the session. Friday's result represented a substantial slowdown from Thursday, when Bitcoin ETFs attracted $730.8 million — their strongest daily inflow since January. Despite the deceleration, Bitcoin funds accumulated approximately $986.7 million across the five trading sessions ending September 4.
Ether Stays Positive While Solana Reverses
Spot Ether ETFs recorded another positive session with $25.9 million of net inflows. BlackRock's ETHA attracted $57.8 million, while Bitwise's ETHB added $16.4 million. Those purchases were partially offset by $48.3 million leaving Fidelity's FETH. The remaining tracked Ether funds recorded no net flows. The result followed $141.4 million of inflows on Thursday, when BlackRock and Fidelity had been the two largest contributors. Solana ETFs moved in the opposite direction. The category recorded $5.2 million of net outflows, with $2.8 million leaving Bitwise's BSOL and another $2.4 million exiting Fidelity's FSOL.That reversed the $6.4 million inflow recorded a day earlier and continued an uneven start to September for Solana funds. XRP ETFs, meanwhile, registered no net creations or redemptions Friday. The flat session followed $6.1 million of inflows on September 3, when Franklin Templeton's XRPZ and Bitwise's XRP fund accounted for the day's positive activity.Bitwise's HYPE ETF Adds Another $10.5 Million
Hyperliquid was the exception among the smaller altcoin ETF categories. HYPE funds recorded $10.5 million of net inflows, with the entire amount entering Bitwise's BHYP. The purchase followed four consecutive sessions without tracked BHYP inflows and represented its largest daily addition since the fund accumulated approximately $23.2 million on August 27.The latest inflow brings cumulative HYPE ETF net inflows to roughly $360 million across tracked U.S. products. Friday's flows also reinforced the concentration of institutional demand in Bitcoin. Of the approximately $205.8 million entering the five major crypto ETF categories, Bitcoin accounted for $174.6 million, or nearly 85%.Ether contributed another $25.9 million and HYPE added $10.5 million, while the $5.2 million Solana outflow reduced the combined total. XRP made no contribution in either direction. The composition was notably different from Thursday's broad-based session, when Bitcoin, Ether, Solana and XRP funds all recorded inflows. Bitcoin's weekly performance was particularly strong. After beginning September with $236.5 million of outflows, the category reversed with $101.1 million on Wednesday, surged by $730.8 million on Thursday and added another $174.6 million Friday. The result left Bitcoin ETFs with approximately $986.7 million of net inflows over the latest five sessions despite the negative start to September.Ether, Solana, XRP and HYPE showed a less consistent pattern. That divergence suggests institutional demand remains concentrated around Bitcoin even as the expanding U.S. crypto ETF market gives investors increasingly direct access to individual altcoins.Friday nevertheless ended the week firmly positive: approximately $205.8 million entered the five tracked categories, providing another session of net capital formation ahead of the U.S. Labor Day market holiday.Source: FinanceFeeds
