Compound Foundation Responds to Allegations of V2 Reserve Misuse

The Compound Foundation has publicly denied allegations regarding the misuse of reserves from its V2 protocol. The controversy arose after records indicated that the Foundation's voting power was bolstered by an increase of 344,780 COMP tokens prior to a significant budget vote for the V4 proposal, which totaled $52 million.

Despite the increase in voting power, the proposal reportedly had sufficient support to pass without the additional tokens. This situation has raised questions within the decentralized finance (DeFi) community about governance practices and the integrity of voting mechanisms in such protocols. The Foundation's response aims to clarify its position and maintain trust among its stakeholders.
