Bitcoin ETFs Experience $2.4 Billion Inflow in Record Week

Spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in the United States recorded a significant inflow of $2.4 billion for the week ending September 25, marking the largest weekly inflow since October 2025. This surge in institutional investment has reversed a trend of net outflows, bringing year-to-date net flows for these funds to approximately $934 million after experiencing a deficit of about $5.8 billion in mid-July.

The inflow was largely driven by three major products: BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust, which attracted around $1.2 billion, Fidelity’s FBTC with approximately $702 million, and ARK 21Shares’ ARKB, which pulled in about $295 million. Together, these three funds accounted for over 90% of the total inflows for the week. Notably, inflows peaked on Monday at nearly $999 million, but momentum slowed as the week progressed, coinciding with a drop in Bitcoin's price from a brief high of $87,000 to the $83,000 to $84,000 range.

The positive trend was not limited to Bitcoin, as other cryptocurrencies also saw substantial inflows. Ether ETFs attracted about $690 million, while XRP and Solana ETFs drew approximately $76 million and $188 million, respectively. This broader interest in cryptocurrency ETFs indicates a potential shift in market sentiment following a challenging first half of 2026, where spot Bitcoin ETFs faced significant capital outflows, including a record $4.51 billion in June.

Since their launch in January 2024, spot Bitcoin ETFs have accumulated over $57 billion in net inflows, with total assets under management reaching approximately $108 billion by late September 2026. The recent inflow streak suggests a more durable change in investor positioning, highlighting renewed confidence in the cryptocurrency market after a period of volatility.
