BNY in Talks with Kraken Parent Payward on Digital Asset Partnership Covering Custody, Trading and Payments

PANews, October 3 – According to CoinDesk, citing two people familiar with the matter, custody banking giant BNY is in talks with Payward, the parent company of crypto exchange Kraken, on a broad partnership covering digital assets and financial market infrastructure. The potential agreement could span areas including crypto products, custody, wealth management, trading, payments and infrastructure. These services would be provided through Payward Services, the company's B2B platform for banks, exchanges and asset managers. Part of the proposed collaboration may resemble the infrastructure component of Payward's recent agreement with Nasdaq. Negotiations are still ongoing, and there is no guarantee a deal will ultimately be reached.
