California Man Sentenced to 15 Years for Crypto Kidnapping Conspiracy
PANews, September 10 news, according to The Block, Adam Iza, a California man, was sentenced to 15 years in prison for his involvement in a kidnapping conspiracy related to a massive Bitcoin theft. The U.S. Department of Justice disclosed that Iza, 26, used a mobile phone and encrypted communication apps to coordinate and fund a robbery plan that occurred in August 2024. His accomplices included six men from Florida, who subsequently carried out a violent carjacking and kidnapped the victim's parents in Connecticut. Iza's brother has pleaded guilty, along with six other participants, while the remaining co-conspirators are awaiting trial.
